Cannot commend Ian Brown and his team enough, they have been our family funeral directors for decades, their care, compassion and empathy is 2nd to none, they made all the necessary arrangements for both my late grandfather and more recently my Mum, nothing is too much trouble for them, fleet of vehicles were immaculately presented and in showroom condition, the staff were absolutely amazing throught the whole process

We lost our dear mum in July last year, she had a Golden Charter Plan, but had went to another funeral directors to leave her wishes etc, however after the shocking service and treatment we had received My sister and I reached out to Iain Brown to ask if they could take over, They duely oblidged, from the moment of entering the office in Carstairs we were treated with empath, within 20mins we were guaranteed that Ian Brown & Sons would take mum into their care ... All members of staff were polite, neat clean and tidy, unlike the origional funeral directors we had visited

Derek at Ian Brown funeral directors made planning my dad’s funeral much easier than I would have imagined. From collecting my dad, our meetings at the funeral directors to the funeral day itself Derek was there along the way to help me and my mum with all the planning. Nothing was ever too much trouble, every request accommodated. What my dad wanted was made possible.

Derek walking my Dad along the road in the hearse and bowing his head before we made our journey to the crematorium was the most respectful (and unexpected) memory I will never forget. He even offered to do a small reading for us at the funeral as it was a very small private family cremation.

Derek is a credit to Ian Brown. My mum and I will never forget the kindness and compassion he showed us in what was an incredibly upsetting time.

All the staff were incredibly kind. Any time we popped in they were so lovely, approachable and caring. This is an incredibly respectful company who I would not hesitate to recommend.

I would highly recommend Derek and his colleagues for their support, guidance and compassion.
From our first meeting to the funeral itself they provided a highly professional and caring service.
All aspects of the care my husband would receive prior to the funeral and the funeral itself were fully explained. Derek listened to what my husband had requested and his wishes were carried out to the letter. We were given options and advice but ultimately the choices were ours and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a confirmation call from Derek prior to the funeral just to confirm that everything was in place and all would go to plan. I cannot thank him enough.

Fantastic service from all staff we communicated with throughout the whole process. Anne, Stuart and Fraser were very professional and respectful with every aspect of caring for my dad on his final journey. They made a very difficult time more bearable. I would highly recommend Ian Brown Funeral Directors.
